Colourpop “Orange You Glad” Review

I recently became obsessed with ColourPop Cosmetics (I’m late AF, I know!) and my most recent order is giving me a serious case of orange crush!! I am a weirdo and made all the products in my order match, but when you are a color freak, you just do stuff like that, ok?

Luckily I didn’t break the bank, because @colourpopcosmetics makes their products super affordable! I am a perpetual broke bitch, and don’t like spending a lot of money on makeup anyway, so this part really pleases me. But this brand is by no means a “cheap” one when it comes to quality. The color payoff is amazing, the packaging is always on point, and they even have cute names for everything!

This order included:

  • Orange You Glad eyeshadow palette
  • So Juicy lip gloss in Va Va Voom
  • Super Shock Cheek blush in Get Leid
  • Sol Glow Oil in Golden by @solbody
  • Glisten Up mist by @fourthraybeauty

The grand total was only $51.53!! Can you believe that?! It makes me wanna place another order again already 😬

Anyway let’s get into this review shall we?

The Orange You Glad eyeshadow palette is a 9 pan palette, which frankly is plenty of shades because a bitch gets overwhelmed with too many options! There are 6 matte shades, 2 shimmery shades and 1 glitter shade that is SUPER glittery. The shades are described as follows on the website:

  • zested – matte pale apricot
  • squeeze me – metallic yellow orange with gold flip
  • creamsicle – matte peachy orange
  • rise n grind – matte vivid orange
  • clementine – orange glitter with a copper flip
  • sunkiss’d – matte neon tangerine
  • tangerine dreams – metallic mid tone red orange
  • mimosa mami – matte bright red orange
  • ya peel me? – matte mid tone rust

I almost didn’t get this palette cuz I already have the Sol palette, which is also orangey, but it is more coral/copper than orange and different enough that I decided to get this one too. I am so glad I did, because I have been OBSESSED with orange lately and this really gave me the fix I needed!

Orange You Glad vs Sol

The color payoff, like I said, is INCREDIBLE, and really blend well together. I created two different orangey looks with different shadows (one shown here), and both were gorgeous. I normally hate glitter and prefer just using shimmers, but the texture of this glitter shadow is very creamy and blendable and VERY pretty!

Up next is the Super Shock Blush in Get Leid. I ordered this because I have been looking for an orangey blush to go with my orangey eyeshadow looks and just could NOT find one anywhere! It’s kind of crazy how small of a range of colors most blushes come in! I used to not even really wear blush, but I feel like it can really pull together a look, and when wearing a lot of color on the eyes or lips, I like having a blush that matches the rest of the look.

This blush in particular had a nice color payoff, but obviously you don’t want blush to be that obvious anyway. The shade was really pretty, although I wish it were a little more orange and not as red/coral. Still goes well with the eyeshadow though!

The So Juicy Plumping Lip Gloss in Va-Va-Voom also matched perfectly and was a product I could not find anywhere else. Why aren’t these other brands making makeup products in orange?? Anyway, it looks way more orange in the tube than it does on the lips, but I feel like most glosses are that way. It is definitely on the stickier side of glosses, but it had a nice minty taste and overall I didn’t mind the texture. Would like to try it over an orange lipstick to see if it pulled the look together better than on its own.

The Glisten Up Vitamin C mist isn’t actually orange when you put it on, but it looks orange in the bottle and smells like citrus so I said it’s going in the bag! It also has shimmer inside which had me like 😻. The smell is absolutely deliciousss – very juicy and citrusy – but the spray itself left my skin feeling a little tacky when I used it as a setting spray. I liked it better as a hydrating mist before moisturizer, but I am going to try it again as a setting spray then use my fan to dry my face and see if that makes a difference.

The last product isn’t technically orange, but it still matches and every summery look needs some extra glow anyway! If you are looking for a body shimmer that packs a serious PUNCH, the SOL Glow oil is the product for you!! I got the shade golden because it matches my skin tone the best, but I think any of them would work for any skin tone! I will warn you though: the shimmer is INTENSE, so start with a little and be prepared to blind people with your glow! I personally love that look, especially in the summer when showing a lot of skin, so I am all about it!

I really wanted the SOL Body Kabuki Brush they sell so I could pretend to be Rih Rih, but they were sold out so I will have to just place an order again soon when it is back in stock 🙃

Have any of you used any ColourPop products? Are any of y’all gonna order one of these?? Let me know in the comments! 😘
