Combining Trends: A Fall Slay (and a Bucket List)

We all woke up Friday to what was supposed to be Fall and feels more like…Winter. WHAT GIVES! I was going on and on about how excited I was for Fall, so I could break out my fall clothes – sweaters, jeans, boots, etc – and instead the temperature dropped 30 degrees literally OVERNIGHT! Normally, Fall entails at least a COUPLE weeks of perfect 70 degree days with sun and zero humidity, which is the perfect recipe for a fall slay that leaves you feeling cute and comfy without freezing your legs off!

Nevertheless, I was lucky enough to snap some pics in this cute fall outfit that combines some of my favorite fall trends with a few of my own personal style faves: animal prints/mixed prints, A-line skirt, corduroy, rust orange, an ugly-cute jacket and, of course, my Vans! It sounds like a lot is going on, but I feel like the way I styled it makes it look pulled together! But then again, I styled it so of course I like it!

Now that it is cold enough to wear sweaters and be outside without sweatING, I can finally start to check some stuff off my fall bucket list! It isn’t quite as extensive as my summer bucket list (especially because fall is so fleeting), but I know if I do all of these things before winter fully hits, I will be a happy camper! Read on to see what is on the list:

  • Go to a pumpkin patch and take lots of pics and eat lots of apple cider donuts!
  • Go apple picking at an apple orchard
  • Go on a hike/adventure day at Shenandoah National Park
  • Go on a foliage walk
  • Cook and bake all my fall faves (sweet potatoes, squash, apple desserts, pumpkin spiced cake, etc)
  • Make homemade pumpkin spice coffee every day
  • Buy fall scented candles for my room
  • Go to at least 4 concerts to make up for my lack of summer concerts
  • Make fun plans for Halloween so I have somewhere to wear my cute costumes
  • Start hosting new moon/full moon circles
  • Get back into teaching yoga
  • Have a bonfire somewhere (anyone have a backyard with a fire pit??)
  • Watch scary movies/have a movie marathon
  • Find a new cuddle buddy!
