Cherry Blossom Photo Diary

If you follow me on Instagram, you already read about my crazy experience at the Cherry Blossom festival a few weeks ago. If not, I will recap briefly! So what had happened was…my friend Jon and I wanted to shoot down there, but I thought it was best for us to wait until Monday or later in the week, rather than Saturday or Sunday which were the “peak bloom” days and the days that the Cherry Blossom Festival were supposed to be held. However, Jon had the foresight to predict that it would get shut down after the weekend, and since he had a shoot on Sunday (that got cancelled lol), we decided it was Saturday or never! As you can imagine, when we got down there it was HELLAAAA people everywhere!! We did our best to avoid the crowds and get our shots, but it was a struggle! You…

Keep reading to see how I stayed sane and kept busy while it rained all week… Day 1: I am so glad I booked an early flight on my first day, because I found out right before I left that it would be the ONLY day of sun, and I definitely wanted to take advantage. I also felt like for such a short trip, it would have been a waste to get there later in the day regardless of the weather. I landed in Palm Beach at 9:30am, ELATED to be standing outside in a tshirt and biker shorts! I got to my AirBnb quickly, and was able to go straight…

Two Days in NYC

In case you missed it on Instagram, I went to NYC with my best friend last week for a couple days. Technically, it was like three-ish days, but we only got two full days together since we both got there late Wednesday night and she left early on Saturday morning. Anyway, it was my first trip to NYC this year (I know!!) and I was super excited to get some time in the city with one of my favorite people! As usual, I found us a dope (and cheap!) AirBnb in Brooklyn, which was our home base for the trip. Not only is it usually cheaper to stay in Brooklyn, but I love the neighborhood vibe it has compared to Manhattan. The place we stayed was super cute and spacious, but the only downside was that the hosts decided last minute to stay in town and were crashing on the…
