Aside from the gorgeous sleek packaging, stunning colors and impressive pigmentation of every product, it has a range of foundation and concealer shades that is so unrivaled that it shook up the entire beauty industry.
Before Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty and the initial 50 shades of foundation, almost no other makeup brand on the market had as wide a range of shades and undertones and that meant that darker girls were usually the ones left out. Rihanna created more dark-skintone shades in her foundation line than anyone has ever seen before, and came THROUGH with the formula as well! Finally - a brand created for Black women, BY a Black woman. And not just any Black woman - RIHANNA!
Since the launch, she has just continously assaulted us (and our wallets) with one jaw dropping product launch after the next, and frankly none of us can keep up! My first foray into the Fenty Beauty obsession was with a combo pack of two mini products - the original gloss bomb and the highlighter in the shade "hu$tla baby" - the only two products I was truly pressed on trying at the time. The fact that they were in mini sizes (I die for anything mini!) AND priced at $23, my lucky number, was just too good to be true. I had to have it!
It was really all up from there! I went through the gloss bomb hella quick, was gifted a full sized one for my birthday, later bought a gorgeous burnt orange matte lipstick (that goes perfectly with the highlighter and gloss bomb), and now I am splurging on Fenty left and right with the steady paychecks at my new job! Someone stop me 😅
My latest purchase was a Valentine's Day present for myself, which I totally earned because I spent my V-Day on a two day work trip which was very rewarding but also EXHAUSTING! I thought their new lipstick launch was the PERFECT present, because the bright pink shade just SCREAMED V-Day to me!
