Monthly Check-In and Spotify Playlist: June 2022

I don’t know about y’all, but May FLEW by for me! The first week of May was spent scrambling to prepare to fly to Israel for my grandma’s funeral services (I missed the actual funeral and shiva, but got to visit her gravesite), then going to Israel for a week, and then spending a full week adjusting back, and boom the month was over before I knew it! I started off May getting ANOTHER ulcer flare up, which most likely was caused by the grief of losing my grandma but was also exactly a year after I got it in the first place, making me think it was back on some “anniversary tour” πŸ™„ It was horrible timing before my trip, and definitely bothered me while I was there. Luckily, I met with a new doctor a couple weeks after getting back, who FINALLY confirmed my suspicion that I have…

Monthly Check-In and Spotify Playlist: May 2022

Happy May everyone! It is finally starting to feel like spring here in DC, and I could not be happier about the warm weather! After going to Phoenix in March (see my travel guide here), I had no tolerance for winter anymore. The weather has been playing GAMES lately, so it better stay warm from here on out! Anyway, I don’t know about y’all, but April was TOUGH for me! I have been really struggling to adjust to living with my family again (for the second time…smh), since getting back from Arizona, and it really came to a head last month. Between constant bickering and screaming matches with my siblings, painting my room and then moving all my stuff back home from storage, having a full on mental breakdown, and then having my grandma pass away after spending two weeks in the hospital, it’s definitely been a lot! (Thank you…

Phoenix Travel Guide: All You Need To Know For A Luxury Experience In Phoenix, Arizona

Phoenix Travel Guide: All You Need To Know For A Luxury Experience In Phoenix, Arizona

I recently came back from my second annual solo trip to Phoenix, and I had an AMAZING time!! My trip last year was one of the most peaceful and satisfying trips I have ever been on, and I was itching to go back this year. I thought the timing would be perfect, because I gave my two weeks notice at my apartment right after New Year’s and moved out end of February, then went to Arizona the first week of March, but I did not account for the fact that it would be packed with spring break travelers. Luckily, it did not ruin my trip whatsoever! And aside from one rainy afternoon (while I was at the pool!), the weather was gorgeous all week. Read on to find out what I did and what some of my favorite spots were! Cafes My number one mission anywhere I go is to…

Why Not Having a Niche is a Good Thing

Why Not Having a Niche is a Good Thing

When I started my blog, exactly four years ago, it was after months of putting it off because I couldn’t pick a niche or a name. This proved to be a nearly impossible task, and held me back from just starting (hello perfectionism and always needing a master plan before taking the first step!) I had been wanting to start a blog for a couple years at that point, but had SO many so-called “brand experts” telling me to “pick a niche pick a niche pick a niche” and I just COULDN’T! One day, I had an epiphany – I could just make the lack of a niche my brand! The name “Queen of All Trades” came to me one day and seemed so perfect that it opened the door to finally starting. Not only is it a play on the term “jack of all trades”, aka someone who tries…

Setting Myself Up for an Abundant Year: 2021 Reflections and 2022 Intentions

Setting Myself Up for an Abundant Year: 2021 Reflections and 2022 Intentions

As I am sitting here writing this – four days into the new year, sick with what I think is Covid but can’t confirm due to all the testing sites being booked up and home testing kits being booked up – it doesn’t quite feel like a new year yet. I am still feeling the tentacles of 2021 penetrating my brain, body and spirit! However, it is sunny (albeit freezing) for the first time in over a week, and I am going to take that as a win! I think it’s safe to say that the last couple years have been HARD on all of us. Despite how much 2020 threw us all for a loop, I still somehow managed to accomplish every single one of my goals and escape SOMEWHAT unscathed. But 2021? Man…2021 hit me over the head with a wooden bat, dragged me into a dumpster in…
