Travel Guide: Rehoboth Beach

I took a trip to Rehoboth Beach, DE a few weeks ago and had an amazing time! It wasn’t the most exotic or exciting trip of my life, but after the year we have had, it was exactly what I needed: relaxing, chill and fun! If you are planning a trip to Rehoboth before the end of summer or still need trip ideas for Labor Day Weekend, keep reading! Stay We stayed at Quality Inn & Suites (don’t ask who “we” is, mind ya business!) in Rehoboth Beach on Coastal Highway. It was about $400 for three nights, plus taxes, fees and a refundable deposit. We went Tuesday to Friday, so it may be a little more expensive on the weekend and holidays. The hotel was pretty basic, but seemed clean and was not crowded at all – we barely saw anyone else! Being a Sephardic Jew in a World That’s Black and White

Being a Sephardic Jew in a World That’s Black and White

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I have been posting nonstop about Judaism and antisemitism the last few weeks. Luckily, the reception has been overwhelmingly positive (on Instagram at least – Twitter is a different story…) but I felt as though I needed to expand a bit more on those posts in a full blog post here. To start off, I already have an entire blog post about my (ongoing) identity crisis, which you can read here for some background. I feel as though my identity crisis will not be resolved anytime soon, but ironically this resurgence of antisemitism is helping me crystallize my identity somewhat. More on that later! For now I will speak a little bit on my own experience of being a Sephardic Jew. Growing up, I never felt “othered” for being Jewish. I was born and raised in a very middle class and lowkey…

Summer 2020 Bucket List

Every season – or at least every summer – I create a bucket-list of things I want to do before the season ends. After so many months of being cooped up in the house, we all need fun activities to look forward to. We may be limited in what activities we can do, but that shouldn’t stop us! We just have to get creative 😉 Keep reading to see what’s on my summer bucket-list, and comment below what activities you are going to add to your bucket-list! Summer 2020 Bucket List Picnics – this seems to be the new brunch, since my ENTIRE Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest pages are full of picnic photoshoot pics! I have already had…

A Beginner’s Guide to: Using TikTok and Making Videos

Let me guess: a couple weeks (maybe even a few days) into quarantine, you downloaded TikTok and SWORE it was a dumb appyou were too old for, but just needed a bit of entertainment for a few weeks until this damn thing was over. And then a few weeks went by, and this damn thing didn’t end, and you got sucked deeper and deeper into TikTok addiction…it’s ok sis. You are me, I am you! This is a safe space!! Now that we are here, what’s next? Chances are you have spent HOURS scrolling through videos, laughing your ass off, maybe even sharing some videos with friends on TikTok or on Instagram. It’s been fun and all, but now you’re thinking “damn if these teeny boppers can make all these videos, why can’t I??”. Except you don’t know where to start and every time you try to, you just get…

How to: Style Pink Braids

How to: Style Pink Braids

A couple weeks ago, I gave myself box braids with some light pink and bleach blonde hair I ordered off Amazon. It took me the ENTIRE weekend, but it was a cloudy weekend in quarantine so I had nothing better to do! Plus, the end result was SO worth it! It was exactly the cotton candy/unicorn look I was going for. Because I am OBSESSED with pink and pastel everything, it wasn’t hard at all for me to style these bright ass braids. Everything in my closet matched already! If you are looking for some ideas on how to style pink hair, or just want some pink outfit inspo, keep scrolling!
