June/July Spotify Playlist

Hey y’all, happy first day of July!! July is my favorite month, not just cuz it’s my birthday month, but it’s the most “summery” month and I’m excited for all the summer activities I have planned. Bring on the summer vibes!! I wouldn’t be keeping it real if I said my life has been all fun and games lately. I know I post only the highlights on IG – as does everyone – but I feel like I can be more transparent on here! Without getting too much into it, I have been dealing with some really stressful and frustrating BS at work, and I am feeling a bit exasperated. Anyone that knows me or has been following for a while knows that I dealt with some really frustrating work drama last summer too (not to mention a breakup before that), so going through it again this summer is especially…

Summer Bucket List

Summer Bucket List

Hey y’all! It has been a minute since I posted anything and I didn’t realize how much I missed it! Not much has happened since my last post, the recap of my LA trip, but I feel like its been a looong couple months and I am ready for another vacation already. Who can relate?? Luckily, despite the stress of work and week after week of dragging myself out of bed every morning (LOL can you tell I need a vacation), it has finally gotten warm enough to do some fun stuff around the city! Personally, I love warm weather so much that it makes me happy just to chill in my back yard, but I DO love hanging out with friends at old and new favorite spots in DC. I have found lately, as I seem to do every summer, that by the time we really get into the…

LA Travel Blog: Part II

LA Travel Blog: Part II

If you haven’t read Part I of my LA travel blog, make sure you go read that first. If you’ve already read it, then let’s get right into Part II! Day 4: West Hollywood This was the day I was MOST excited about, because West Hollywood (or WeHo for short), is my favorite part of LA! My brother lives right off Melrose Ave, one of the main strips in WeHo, and I used to always drive up from San Diego to stay with him and wander around the area. Not only does Melrose have the BEST shops, but the vibe there is just unbeatable! We started off the day stopping at the LACMA to see the iconic lights installation that is all over Instagram. Despite being a quintessential tourist spot (or maybe because it is), I had never been there before! We got a few good pics, and Tiff got…

LA Travel Blog: Part I

LA Travel Blog: Part I

My recent trip to LA was my first time visiting LA or anywhere in California since moving back to DC from the West Coast almost two years ago. To say I was excited would be an understatement! Not only was I anxious to revisit some of my favorite places and visit some friends, but I couldn’t WAIT to show my friend Tiff around! She had only been to LA once before, on a very short solo trip, and I knew she was going to love everything I had in store for her. Keep reading for a thorough recap of my trip, sprinkled with tons of my recommendations (in bold) for coffee shops, restaurants, shops, places to take pictures and more! Day One: Koreatown Since Tiff lives in Philly now, we had to fly to LA separately and meet up once we got there. The plan WAS for her to wait…

Happy International Women’s Day!

Happy International Women’s Day!

Every year on International Women’s Day, we all take a collective moment to stop and appreciate the infinite achievements women have made around the globe across history, and the incredible things we will continue to do far into the future. However, I personally like to reflect on the women I know – particularly my female friends – and how much value they add to my life! In the last year or so, I have amassed a HUGE network of female friends around the DMV area, mainly through blogging. I don’t say this to brag, but rather to express how grateful I am that blogging has not only been an outlet for creativity and self-expression, but also an INCREDIBLE source of networking and friendship building! I cherish every relationship I have built through this common hobby/side hustle, and continue to relish the supportive environment that my female friends create for each…
