Summer Bucketlist

Happy Summer Solstice!

Today marks the first “official” day of summer, and also the longest day of the year, so it is the perfect time to sit and think about what I want to do this summer. We all wait for summer all year long, and I think it is safe to say everyone loves summer! Especially if you have a summer birthday like me (July 23, where my Cancers and Leos at??) and tend to be in celebration mode all summer!

I had a pretty boring summer last year, so I am more determined than ever to make this one super fun! I have been here for a year now (exactly a year as of last Saturday!), and so I finally have enough friends and know DC well enough that I can plan some stuff out and really enjoy my summer. Here is my bucket list for the summer – which I will surely be adding to – of all the places I want to eat, drink, explore, travel to and hang out! Comment below and let me know what you are planning for this summer

  • Outdoor concerts and festivals (I am trying to manifest tix to the On the Run II Tour, and am DYING to go to Afro Punk Festival in BK!)
  • Trip to NYC (I am going to Curl Fest the weekend before my birthday, anyone else going??)
  • Beach trips (Even though I spent two weeks in TLV recently, I am already fiending for more beach time!)
  • Rooftop bars
  • Dinner & drinks with girlfriends
  • TACOS & TEQUILA
  • Lazy days outside
  • Adventure days outside!
  • Roadtrips/daytrips to nearby cities or destinations
  • Camping/cabin trip for the weekend
  • Kayaking and/or stand-up paddleboarding (I used to teach SUP yoga and I miss it!)
  • Lots of outdoor runs and hikes
  • Eat ALL the vegan ice cream
  • Outdoor movies (so romantic 😍)
  • Crab feasts! (If you don’t live in the DMV and don’t get it, you are missing out)
  • Get super tan and keep it as long as possible! (I need that melanin ya heard)
  • Figure out how to perfect the summer wash n go (issa struggle)
  • Outdoor dinner dates
  • Finally watch the fireworks at the National Mall (I grew up here and don’t think I’ve EVER seen them?!)
  • BBQs and cookouts

I could go on and on (and will probably add to this list as I think of more tingz), but the idea is basically to just get outside as much and as long as possible! I LIVE for the outdoors and being out and about, so I am excited it is finally warm enough to do so! Here’s to a long, blissful summer 🍹
