What Turning 30 Means to Me

Even though I already turned 30 a few weeks ago, I have been reflecting on what changes I have noticed since then. I have felt “older than my age” my whole life, and have DEFINITELY been sick of being in my 20s for a few years now, but I feel like there were subtle shifts that happened the week of my birthday. First of all, I am SUPER excited that I can now proudly say I am 30! Not 28, not 29, but THIRTY! I can now participate in 30+ Twitter threads, give a very valid excuse to boys in their 20s as to why I cannot date them, and also appreciate the shock value after telling my age to people who think I am much younger! Relaxing Weekend in SoHo

Last weekend, I went up to NYC with my best friend (and her sister) to celebrate her birthday. Because we wanted to avoid taking public transportation, we decided to drive to NYC and find a hotel in SoHo, where most of the places we wanted to visit were within walking distance. We stayed at the Sheraton on Canal St, which was SUPER affordable and much better quality than I was expecting! Read on to see what we did, where we ate, and what NYC is like during the pandemic! Curl Fest 2018 & Birthday Weekend Recap

I had the pleasure of attending the 5th Annual Curl Fest last weekend, hosted by Curly Girl Collective in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Although this was my first time attending, I had been dying to go since I saw people posting about it on Instagram last year, and was determined to go this year! As soon as I found out it would be the weekend before y birthday, I KNEW I had to go. Luckily, two of my girlfriends that went last year hit me up about going, so we got to planning right away.
