How I Accomplished All My Goals in 2020 (and How You Can Do It Too in 2021)

Like everyone else, I am EXTREMELY excited to wave goodbye to 2020! It has challenged us all in ways that no one was prepared for, and despite some positive changes (hello WFH!), I know it has seriously taken a toll on everyone. That being said, I started 2020 with SO much motivation and clarity to get sh*t done – as I do every new year – and was simply determined to get it all done! #BYOB Retreat Recap & Reflection

This past weekend, I attended the “Build Your Own Brand Retreat” in DC: a networking conference for entrepreneurs, creatives and small business owners. I initially heard about the retreat a few months ago through my boyfriend, but wasn’t planning on attending since I did not have the funds for a ticket. Luckily, he ended up hearing about a free ticket through one of his friends a few weeks before the event, and passed it along to me. I knew it would be a good opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and learn a lot, so I gladly took the free ticket and blocked off Memorial Day weekend for the conference. Learning to Bloom Even When the Flowers Aren’t

When I moved to the West Coast, I had to internalize the rhythm and the feeling of the seasons. Since the weather is nice almost year round, there is barely any indication that the seasons have shifted at all. Now that I am back on the East Coast, where the weather will LET you know what season we are in, it is definitely easier to keep track. However, this week’s blizzard (on the second official day of Spring) is proof that the correlation between weather and season is not always accurate.What I have found to be a more important indicator than weather, though, is the ebb and flow of energy that take place, which naturally coincide with the seasons.
